Announcing the 2016 Child Care Law Summer Retreat Series

Ronald V. McGuckin and Associates, a law firm that specializes in child care law and policy, has announced their 2016 Summer Retreat Series. They will be hosting four Summer Retreat sessions. Two sessions will be in Cape May, NJ; one will be in Myrtle Beach, SC; and one will be in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Each of the retreats are three days long, corresponding to 18 hours of professional development programs designed for Owners, Directors, and Administrators of early care and education programs.

Each location will have its own topic area.

  • Session 1: Management, Leadership, and Communication Skills (Cape May, NJ): Initial launch of a new Management Program that will focus on new theories and principals in managing in today's workforce.

  • Session 2: Strategic Planning for Business Owners and Administrators (The Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania): Strategic planning with a specific focus on readying your business for a change in leadership or sale.

  • Session 3: Understanding Common Lawsuits (Cape May, NJ): Common lawsuits that ECE programs may face and how to prevent them through good policies, proactive management intervention, and documentation.

  • Session 4: Key Employment Issues ECE Owners Should Know (Myrtle Beach, SC): A grand overview of major legal and employment policy considerations specific to child care law and policy.
