Below find flyers for a virtual summer program that will be offered in conjunction with faculty from the Program for Research on Black Americans (PRBA) and its affiliated Michigan Center for Urban African American Aging Research (MCUAAAR). This summer program has been expanded and now includes doctoral students who are committed to conducting research with American Indian/Alaskan Native and Latinx populations. The lead faculty member for research with American Indian/Alaskan Natives is Lisa Wexler and David Cordova is the lead faculty member for Latinx research.

Eligibility: Doctoral students.
This workshop emphasizes training in numerous areas including: 1) publishing in peer review journals, 2) writing grant proposals to the NIH, 3) the tenure process, 4) ethical conduct of research, 5) successful mentoring and collaborative relationships, and, most importantly, 6) how to navigate the academy.
The workshop is Virtual and will take place June 2-4, 2020.
This workshop is for doctoral students. The primary objectives are on research skill enhancement, career mentoring, and professional development. The majority of the professional development will take place with faculty in small groups.
