General Summary of the Position Does:

This position is responsible for working in coordination with all CDI departments to track, analyze and provide data trend reports to key stakeholders. This includes research and evaluation of data to help make important decisions about interventions and strategies to continuously improve Interim Management efforts in Head Start programs across the country. This position also supports Information Services work related to selection and design of data management systems, both at the contract level and in coordination with Site Managers and Lead Site Managers for local Head Start programs. Responsibilities include:

  • Support research and evaluation projects related to early childhood education and development

  • Support data collection such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups

  • National Interim Management systems development for oversight, managing, tracking, and reporting

  • Support quantitative and/or qualitative analyses, including cleaning, organizing, and analyzing data

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Design and facilitate learning processes to ensure evidence is used to inform action

  • Refine theories of change

Education and Experience Requirements:

The minimum requirements are:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an data management or related field such as Early Childhood Research, Evaluation and Measurement; Educational Assessment; or another field related to Early Childhood with 3 years of experience in data research and evaluation.

  • A minimum of three years of experience in design and implementation of comprehensive management systems, including data analysis and evaluation.

The following are preferred:

  • Experience in working with early childhood programs

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical writing skills

  • Proven ability to use a systemic approach and think critically to solve challenges

  • Experience in conducting Demographic Studies and/or Community Assessment for early childhood service needs

  • Training and expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative methods and evaluation
