Position: Program Director Consultant

General Summary of the Consultant Responsibilities:

This is a consulting position (not an employee position). The (PDC) Program Director Consultant is assigned specific NIM (National Interim Management) Contract Head Start and/or Early Head Start program(s) to manage day-to-day operations, including personnel administration and supervision. PDC will oversee all aspects of the program to ensure smooth functioning in all content areas, as well as provide quality services to children and families and supports the goals of the program including the development, training and on-going work with the program Policy Council. This position is remote and extensive travel is required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree in in a related field such as Education (Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Elementary Education), Human Services, Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Family Services or Public Administration.

  • Extensive experience in Head Start or ECE management and fiscal operations or state/regional level agency role, or;

  • A minimum of three years (five years preferred) as a program director in a Head Start/EHS program, with demonstrated skills in supervision of staff, budgeting, fiscal management, and administration.

  • Previously served in a CDI HS program as program director, assistant director in a large or complex program, or actively engaged in the management and leadership of the program is a plus.
