We are excited to share that the National Indian Child Care Association (NICCA) will be at
the 82nd Annual Convention & Marketplace of the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) this fall in Seattle, Washington, November 16–21, 2025, at the Seattle Convention Center.

This gathering is one of the most important moments for Indian Country each year. Tribal leaders, NCAI members, Native youth, and allies from across the country will come together to address critical issues, strategize for the future, and strengthen nation-to-nation relationships. Attendees will also have the chance to explore the NCAI Marketplace, featuring Native artists, federal agencies, job recruiters, and more. NICCA will also have a booth at the marketplace!
Share Your Story with NICCA at NCAI
While we are in Seattle, NICCA will be creating space for Tribal child care and early learning leaders to share their stories with us as part of Connecting Our Programs: A Living Resource of Tribal Stories and Strategies.
Connecting Our Programs is a national storytelling effort to uplift the voices, experiences, and visions of Tribal child care and early learning programs. Through interviews, shared stories, and program highlights, this project builds a living resource that:
Honors the diversity and resilience of Tribal programs across Indian Country
Highlights powerful, culturally grounded early childhood systems
Creates opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and collaboration
Provides inspiration and tools rooted in Indigenous knowledge and Tribal sovereignty
By participating, you help create a resource that centers our voices and ensures that Tribal-led approaches to child care are visible, celebrated, and shared.
How to Participate
Joining us is simple:
Book a 30-minute time slot with our team while you are at NCAI.
Share your program’s story in conversation with us (either in person at the event or virtually).
Review and approve your story before anything is shared to ensure it reflects your voice.
We look forward to connecting with you in Seattle. Let’s use this opportunity to strengthen Tribal child care across Indian Country—together.
