The U.S. Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is convening an oversight hearing today titled “Delivering Essential Public Health and Social Services to Native Americans – Examining Federal Programs Serving Native Americans Across the Operating Divisions at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.”

Witnesses include tribal leaders and health officials who will provide insights into the successes and shortcomings of current federal initiatives. Their testimonies will inform the Committee's efforts to enhance the delivery of essential services and uphold the federal government's trust responsibilities to Native American tribes.
