About the Event

Montana Early Childhood Tribal Language Summit

May 26-28, 2026 | Montana State University | Bozeman, Montana

Tribal teams, educators, Native language and culture advocates, and individuals

working in support of Native children and their families are invited to come together to

honor each other's work in teaching and supporting Native languages and cultures.

While early childhood education is the foundation of this work, the walls are built by an

ecosystem of passionate individuals from early childhood to the college/university level

and the workforce. This event provides time and space to collectively share challenges

and paths to success in Native language and culture acquisition.

You will meet educators from Montana early childhood programs, Tribal Colleges,

immersion schools, and nationwide language advocates to discuss the best

practices that help language and culture to flourish within our tribal communities.

Come learn, share, and create connections with other passionate educators,

community partners, and advocates. The full agenda and registration link are

forthcoming.

*Continuing Education Units (CUs) and OPI Renewal Credits: Participants are eligible for

CEUs and OP Renewal Credits through the Montana Office of Public Instruction for

attendance and participation in this summit. REGISTRATION LINK **This is an external event, not hosted by NICCA
