The Office of Child Care has announced the National Center on Tribal Early Childhood Development (NCTECD) upcoming national webinar series on the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Final Rule for Tribes.

Webinar 1: Health and Safety

NCTECD’s first webinar—“Ensuring the Health and Safety of Children in American Indian and Alaska Native CCDF Programs”—will be held on Tuesday, July 11, from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). During this webinar, Melody Redbird-Post will provide an overview of CCDF Final Rule regulations on health and safety and the implications for Tribes. There will be time for questions and answers.

Webinar 2: Quality Improvement

The second webinar—“Quality Improvement in American Indian and Alaska Native CCDF Programs”—will be held on Tuesday, July 18, from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. EDT. Kesley Edwards will provide an overview of CCDF Final Rule regulations on quality improvement activities and the implications for and flexibility available to Tribes. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Webinar 2: July 18, from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. EDT—“Quality Improvement in American Indian and Alaska Native CCDF Programs.”

Webinar 3: Tribal-State Coordination

The third webinar—“Tribes and States Working Together: CCDF Coordination Requirements, Benefits, and Successful Models”—will be held on Tuesday, July 25, from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. EDT. Willow Abrahamson will provide an overview of CCDF Final Rule regulations on coordination and will highlight some promising practices. There will be time for questions and answers.
