Call for Presentation Proposals
Submissions accepted on a rolling basis. Earlier submissions will have priority.
The 2017 Biennial Conference theme focuses on the importance of building and utilizing meaningful partnerships. The Conference will offer opportunities to share ideas around partnerships and promising practices in early child care.
We encourage presenters to design sessions that incorporate:

Effective active learning techniques;

Content and learning techniques appropriate for a mixed audience of professionals, including teachers, administrators, researchers, and policymakers (unless your proposal clearly identifies a specific target audience);

Approaches that help participants turn ideas into action;

New research, new strategies, and fresh perspectives on traditional content; and
-
Distribution of materials and resources during and after the session
Presenters can submit proposals for 15-minute plenary sessions or 90-minute breakout sessions.

15-minute plenary sessions are forums for information dissemination—including sessions that address current issues, present recent research findings, provide an overview of proposed legislation, and/or directly relate to the theme of the conference. They can include questions from the floor.

90-minute breakout sessions include participant interaction during at least some of the scheduled time. Participants have opportunities to engage in discussions with colleagues, reflect on session content, and consider ways to implement what they have learned.
Presenters that have been chosen to present will receive discounted registration fees to the 2017 conference. Registration information for presenters will be sent after proposals are selected.
NICCA will provide standard audio/visual set-up, including a laptop, a projection screen and stand, and an LCD projector. DVD players, VHS players, sound patches, flip charts, and other equipment can be rented through our AV vendor, at the presenters cost. Internet access for session rooms can be purchased from the Institute hotel at the presenters cost.
All proposals must be received through the online submission system by January 10, 2017. Proposals will not be accepted except through the link below. Notification of proposal selections will be made by June 10, 2017.
You may revise or withdraw your submitted proposal before January 10, 2017.
